A Quick 3"Review by ATP Staff - Mike P
So you got a 03-13 Cummins, but it just doesn't have the right look to it. You can surely put a set a wheels and tires on it, which would help, but it still wouldn't look as good as if you raised it up a few inches and stuffed 35's under it. I know what your saying, putting a lift on the truck would cost way to much, but the good news is, it doesn't have too. Rough Country has a number of great quality, inexpensive lifts on the market that I've been installing for a number of years. The one I'm reviewing here, I highly recommend, and it is a perfect option if your on a tight budget. This 3" lift is a simple kit consisting of new front coils, rear blocks and U-bolts, and 4 new shocks. If you have decent mechanical ability then you should have no problem putting this kit in yourself. Once you set up the truck to do the lift, all you need to do is disconnect the front shocks a sway bar links, and lower the front axle from the truck slowly until you are able to remove the coils, then replace them with the new lifted coils. Replace the front shocks, reconnect them and the end links, and front is complete. The rear is even easier. Remove the rear shocks, remove the u-bolts on one side(do one side at a time), and loosen the other side slightly, then lower the axle until you can put the new axle blocks in. Replace the U-bolts with the longer ones that are included, replace the shocks, tighten it all up, and finished. Its a bit more detailed when reading the directions, but you get the idea of how easy it might be to install. The result is an aggressive looking, great riding truck, all for under $400. You can't beat that. (Posted on 6/24/2016)
